  • Hundreds gather at Deen Dayal Upadhayay Park in New Delhi as the national capital embraces ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’

 

New Delhi । June, 21,25 । Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, International Yoga Day has become a global wellness movement that transcends boundaries, backgrounds, age, and ability. Celebrating the 11th edition of this global initiative, Prime Minister Modi led the Yoga Day celebrations from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.This year’s observance centered on the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

Echoing the spirit of this nationwide celebration, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, along with ministers from her cabinet, participated in Yoga Day activities across various locations in the capital.

In line with the initiative, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Hon’ble Minister of Health, Transport & Information Technology, Government of Delhi, performed yoga at Deen Dayal Upadhayay Park, D D U Marg, New Delhi along with hundreds of local residents and health officials.
The programme was held under the aegis of the Directorate of AYUSH in collaboration with the Ayurvedic & Unani Tibbia College and Hospital, Delhi Government.

The event drew enthusiastic participation from hundreds of residents, health officials, and yoga practitioners, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and wellness. From children to senior citizens, people from all walks of life came together to celebrate the ancient discipline.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh said, “Yoga is not merely a form of exercise, but a powerful practice that promotes both physical vitality and mental clarity. Since Prime Minister Modi introduced yoga to the global stage, it has seen unparalleled adoption worldwide. If the people of Delhi integrate yoga into their daily routines, it will significantly reduce the burden of lifestyle-related diseases and enhance overall well-being.”

As India continues to champion holistic health practices, today’s celebrations reaffirm the government’s commitment to a healthy India, healthy Delhi — where wellness becomes a way of life and not just a one-day event.
